So, this week is my last week at American Express.
That makes me a dead man walking.
In case you have not heard, my boss was laid off in January and I was told that I had to move downstairs to be part of another group called 'Risk & Analytics'. I was not too fond of the idea for a variety of reasons and when a headhunter that tried to recruit me a year ago called me to arrange an interview, I said yes.
I have accepted a finance position with BoartLongyear. They make drill bits and other key components for mining / digging. Their global HQ is here in SLC and they are growing very quickly. I am excited for a new challenge - moving away from financial services to more of a manufacturing environment.
In the mean time, my phone has stopped ringing and no more emails. The word is out that I am leaving, so no one really needs to talk to me anymore.
At this point, I have a couple of brain dump transition meetings and I need to go through all of the files in my desk and decide what is important between now and Friday.

Ross - I found your blog. Very funny. You will be missed at Amex - our loss. Good luck!
It has been great working with you the last several years. Good luck at Boart.
